Carla Sanches, the dancer, who helped the circus group a lot and
rehearsed the dancing part with the kids, made it possible for us
to take part in the dancing festival for childrden and young persons
in one of San José's most important theatres. When we entered
the huge building with its 4 balcons, red seats and a stage with
hightech and orchestra pit all of us were gaping in astonishment.
|
Here, the kids of Tierra Prometida
should present something?? Unbelievable!
We were one of about 80 groups, who should appear on stage this
day. Everybody had maximum 5 minutes. Just this fact got it
in a mess, I imagened all of this much more relaxed and expected
that we would have a presentation of 10 minutes. However, the
kids started to rehearse a 5-minute show feverishly. From the
dress circle we were be able to see the other groups. From ballet
to modern dancing and facial expression dance. Very interesting! |
Finally, we had our turn. A short
announcment informed of the play's title as well as the leaders
of the group. Then the huge curtain lifted. Behind, the kids
were now be albe to be seen appearing tiny on the huge stage
and showed their best.
They were presenting a part of their learnt modern dancing
free combined with acrobatics, juggling, unicycle and diabolo.
The presentation was super and the audience was delighted.
Although we stand out a bit with our circus: The presentation
was easing and we could compete with all the other groups
without exceptions.
That way, the kids were proud, too!
Yeah, a great day for all the persons who were involved.
