Theater workshop in Pavones

Pavones is one of the marginal districts of San Isidro del General. Even though the school in Pavones doesn´t have a lot of means, it is trying to improve creative skills of its pupils. Especially director Fernando and the teachers Sandra and Tania are supporting projects of Vida Nueva with a lot of engagement. At school performances, Sandra or Fernando are always rehearsing a short play with the children.

After Max Boxleitner, who did his social service in San Isidro in 2006, participated in the theatre classes, Marina Einböck continued the theatre project. At the beginning the theatre class was only 2 times a week, then shortly before Christmas daily training started for the play “Llegara la navidad” of Amadeo Gutiérrez at the schools graduation on the 22nd of December 2006. In only 3 weeks 10 pupils of different grades rehearsed the play.

„Llegara la Navidad“ is about an egoist „Todoparami“ who locks the characters of Christmas (Love, Peace, Happiness, Friendship, New Year, Santa Claus, but also Chaos) in his castle to anticipate Christmas this year. With the help of two kids (Viky and Elisa) and the audience, they succeed to free themselves of their prison and appear on time for Christmas. Playing theatre is a creative mean to strengthen the self esteem and the capability of expression of children aged between 8 and 10 years.
