Theatre Project

In March 2004, some volunteers started a theatre project with school children from Longo Mai. The aim is to give the pupils the chance to get involved in more creative activities in school. There are two groups of children, each of 10 pupils, which with the help of some volunteers learnt some theatre skills (speech exercises, pantomime, improvising short pieces) with the aim of later enabling them to put on “The jungle book” . A short while ago, in order to get to know the story, the pupils read this book and watched the film. The pupils will not only act the parts but also will decorate the scenery and make their costumes.
