6000.- Colones (11.- US $) per day for full board (3 meals at the table of the host family plus lodging) for all visitors staying more than
14 days.
8000.- Colones (14.50- US $) per day for full board (3 meals at the table of the host family plus lodging) for all visitors staying
until 14 days.
The committee of tourism adjusts prices regularly to the now very high inflation.
How to get there
- From San José: Bus "Tracopa" till "Parada Longo Mai" or Bus "MUSOC" till San Isidro de El General.
- From San Isidro: Bus "GAFESO" or "Tracopa" till "Parada Longo Mai"
- From Panama: Bus "Tracopa" till "Parada Longo Mai"
- From "Parada Longo Mai" (km 164 of the Interamericana Sur) about 2 km uphill on a earth/gravel one way road. Look for Edith or for Cristobal (multilingual) to find a place to stay and other information.
- At "Parada Longo Mai" you'll see two shops, one is a bit hidden. The owners
are usually willing to bring guests and luggage to the village for a
reasonable fee with their private cars.
(GAFESO, MUSOC and Tracopa are bus-enterprises with separate bus-terminals. It is recommended to take a taxi to the San José bus terminals and to keep always an eye on luggage and valuables.
